At OMID, our Older Adults Clinic is dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of older adults. Aging often brings unique challenges, including cognitive changes, loss, isolation, and transitions in living situations. Our clinic offers comprehensive mental health care to help older adults maintain their quality of life, independence, and sense of purpose.

We take a holistic, client-centered approach that respects the dignity of each individual while addressing both mental health and social determinants of wellbeing.
Our Services
EISOA (Early Intervention Services for Older Adults)
The Early Intervention Services for Older Adults Program (EISOA) provides behavioral health early intervention services to older adults who are experiencing early onset of a mental health condition due to isolation or other risk factors.
  • Referrals to geropsychiatry, affordable transportation, and social services benefits for integrated care.
  • Educational events on mental health and positive aging.
Affordable Individual Therapy & Psychological Testing for Seniors
The program aims to alleviate the stress, mental and financial hardships associated with housing among the senior adult population by designing an effective housing navigation tool.
  • Therapy focused on adjustment, grief, anxiety, depression, and emotional well-being in later life
  • Cognitive and neuropsychological testing for difficulties with memory, dementia, Alzheimer’s, and neurological concerns
  • Referrals for medical, housing, and caregiving support servicesDocumentation for accommodations in housing, benefits, or care planning
  • Documentation for accommodations in housing, benefits, or care planning
HHIP (Housing and Homelessness Incentive Program)
The program aims to alleviate the stress, mental and financial hardships associated with housing among the senior adult population by designing an effective housing navigation tool.
  • System Advocates (SA) together with Multi-Ethnic Collaborative of Community Agencies (MECCA) will utilize the findings collected from their interactions with older adults and Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) to support the refining of a trauma informed housing navigation tool that is tailored to the specific needs of older adults.
  • Systems Advocates will continuously test the quality and usability of the tool through feedback from Housing Navigators whom they will team up with, community members, and ongoing CBPR activities.
  • Older adults will be updated on affordable housing opportunities including section 8 vouchers and will be assisted by housing navigators to apply for the units they are eligible for.
  • OMID will complement the services provided by this housing program to ensure overall wellness of our older adults. Our team will provide mental health assessments to identify challenges related to housing instability.
  • Individual therapy will be offered on a sliding scale to all older adults identified with a need for therapy.
