OMID is proud to play a role in shaping the future of mental health care by offering training opportunities for emerging professionals. Our clinical training program provides hands-on experience for graduate-level students and associates in a supportive and culturally conscious environment.
To date, we have trained over 150 mental health clinicians who have gone on to serve their communities.
Training Opportunities Include:
● Master’s-level MFT, MSW, and PCC trainees and associates seeking supervised clinical experience
● Doctoral students in psychology (clinical, research, child, neuropsych, forensic) looking for psychotherapy, assessment, and research training
Our program is flexible and adaptive to the unique strengths and interests of each cohort. We value applicants who are bilingual and interested in delivering services in more than one language, in line with our mission to serve linguistically diverse populations.
If you are interested in completing practicum or associate hours with OMID, please contact our Clinical Training Director, Dr. Tanvi Patel, at tpatel@omidinstitute.org.
**Applicants for the upcoming Fall semester are encouraged to apply between November and first week of January. Interviews are conducted in person from January to February. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance by the end of February. Orientation sessions are held on weekends in July, and the training year officially begins in August. Please note that all training opportunities are unpaid.**
