Atoosa Vakili is the founder and managing attorney at the Law Office of Atoosa Vakili, US Immigration Legal Services, based in Laguna Niguel, CA. She specializes in family and employment-based visas and green cards as well as in consular visa processing. Atoosa obtained her law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law and was admitted to the California Bar and the 9th Federal Circuit in 1989. An active member of the California Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the Iranian American Bar Association (IABA), she has served as Advocacy Liaison for the Southern California Chapter of AILA and on the Consular Liaison Committee of the Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA) section of AILA. She continues to speak on immigration law at AILA conferences and for other associations. Atoosa is active in civic and community service and has served on the boards of the Iranian-American Bar Association Foundation, OMID Multicultural Institute for Development, CHILD International, and her local homeowners association. As part of her civic and professional involvement, she has met with State and Federal congressional representatives as an advocate on civil and immigrants’ rights. In 2019, she received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the United States House of Representatives for her civic activism and service.
